(Des Moines, Iowa) – The Dream Team will welcome several notable community leaders over the next few months as part of its 25th Anniversary Celebration Speaker Series. The series kicks off tonight with a presentation by community youth mentor and musician, Will Keeps.
The content included in the speaker series will align with the mission of the Dream Team program: The Dream Team uses the power of a bicycle to assist youth in developing a positive approach to life’s challenges.
“We are are excited to host this impactful speaker series for our youth riders,” says Dream Team Executive Director Brian O’Leary. “Each speaker will provide a different perspective on how to overcome challenges and inspire our youth riders to become the best version of themselves.”
Following tonight's event with Keeps, the speaker series will continue over the next several months with presentations by Rose Willey-Farver, an Ultra-Cyclist and Brand Ambassador/Influencer for Velorosa Cycling, Des Moines City Councilman Carl Voss, Co-Founder of the Des Moines Bicycle Collective, and Pastor Michael Hurst, Campus Pastor at Hope+Elim. Additional speakers are expected to be added as the season progresses.
